Tuesday 25 February
Arrival of the Italian students and teachers at Helsinki-Vantaa at 12.20
Bus to Järvenpää
Arrival at school  around 14.00  (some tea and coffee + light snack, getting acquainted)

Evening:students with their hosts; welcome dinner for teachers at Huili

Wednesday 26 February (both Italian and Finnish students)
Trip to Nuuksio  (start 8.30 from school)
sketching, photos, videos, notes  etc
lunch; Haltia (€15)
Haltia's exhibitions (ticket €2.50)
Return to school at around 16.00

Thursday 27 February
Italian students visit  Pekka Halonen Academy at 9.30
and Halosenniemi Museum  at 11.00 + guided tour in English
(Finnish students: normal lessons until 12.30)
Return to Järvenpään lukio and lunch
Workshops at school 12.30-16.00 (both Italian and Finnish students)

Friday 28 Feb
Workshops at school 9-11.30 + lunch at school (Italian and Finnish students)
Evening: 16.00 potluck,  students + teachers in the staff room?

Saturday I March
Visit to Helsinki
Kiasma at 10.00
Design Museum at 11.30
Lunch (around €15)
Ateneum+ guided tour in English at 14.30
(Train tickets €7.10 one direction)

Free time in Helsinki

Sunday 2 March
Departure from school by bus at 10.00
Flight at 13.05

  2. FOR STUDENTS THE TRAIN TICKET TO HELSINKI IS 3,60€ (one direction).
    You must have a student card!!

    1. Are you sure? Because the info at VR told me that the reduction does not concern foreign students unless they study here when I phoned to the information!

    2. After phoning to VR, I got the same negative answer. Unfortunately there are no reductions for foreign students unless they study in Finland. :(
