What would I show to my Italian friend

There is a popular ski center in Lapland, which is very familiar to me. The ski center consists of an arctic hill (or a mountain), Levi, and a tourist resort alongside it. To my mind Levi center is a beautiful place and there is always a great atmosphere. In Levi you can go skiing and do cross-country skiing. There is also a chance to feed reindeer and go to husky rides.

I would show to Porvoo's old town which looks really beautiful especially in the Summer and Christmas times. The Porvoo's old town is famous for its colorful wooden houses which attract tourist from all over the world. At Christmas time the city is decorated with Christmas lights and city comes to life again after the summer. In Porvoo you can see in addition to Porvoo's Cathedral which foundation is from 1400-century.

Porvoo is also known for its food traditions, which is for example Runeberg's tarts and homemade chocolate. True Runeberg's tarts you can found only in Porvoo. You can find them in many places because Porvoo is full of different types of cafes and boutiques.

For my opinion Porvoo's old town is great place spend your time hanging out with your friends. If you want to visit here you must to do that in Summer or Christmas.

What would I show to my italian friend? -Lapland

If I had to choose just one thing to show to any foreigner about my country, it would be the lapland of Finland.
Lapland means the northern part of Finland above the arctic circle. Some of the most beautiful nature of the country is located there, with lots of forest, lakes and fells.
In the summer time you can experience there the midnight sun "keskiyön aurinko" and in the winter time during certain period, the sun doesn't rise at all. This we call "kaamos".
In the winter time there's also a chance for seeing beautiful northern lights!

What would I show to my Italian friend? - Moomin shop

This was really hard to figure out, but I decided to introduce the Moomin shop in Helsinki! :D Moomins are one of the biggest Finnish brands after all. It's located in Forum, which is a shopping center in central Helsinki. It's pretty expensive store, but super cute and full of all kinds of Moomin things. Great place to find adorable souvenirs and gifts.

What would I show to my Italian friend? - Puistoblues

Puistoblues (which by the way means "Park Blues") is a big happening which is arranged every summer in Järvenpää. There are a lot of different kind of performers, most of them are bands.
The best thing about Puistoblues is that there are so many different booths in the centre of Järvenpää. There you can find almost anything to buy! Puistoblues makes the summer.

Linnanmäki

(Vanha vuoristorata)

Linnanmäki is an old finnish amusement park. It is very nice place especially in summer time.
In Linnanmäki there are lots of things to do - for everyone. If you are daredevil (like me) there is many roller coasters and wild rides to experience, or if you are little bit more calm person, you can always go to carousel or just enjoy the view.
Linnanmäki may not be one of the world's biggest amusement parks, but it still has a nice feel in it. Park's decoration is funny and interesting, and  not boring at all. The oldest still-working ride on Linnanmäki is "the Old roller coaster", which is built in year 1951. I love to go on the old roller coaster, because it has awesome old-wood- like smell in it. It definitely makes you feel retro!

Suomenlinna

Suomenlinna is a sea fortress, which now forms part of the city of Helsinki. It's built on six islands and it's inhabited. Tourists and locals find it as a picturesque picnic site. Suomenlinna is a very nice place, especially during the summer time. You can relax in this beautiful sea fortress by enjoying the amazing views and watching the ships and sailboats sailing past.
